Dr. Roselyn Knight

Founder of Borg Knight Solicitors, Roselyn is a dual qualified lawyer specialising in employment law. She has a number of years experience in contentious and non-contentious employment matters, acting on behalf of employers and employees as well as providing an advisory service on all aspects of employment law.

Roselyn started her career at the Malta Employers Association and during her time there she was a Director at the Employment and Training Corporation and represented employers on a number of other boards. She then decided to pursue her career in the U.K.

For three years she served as a Gender Equality Expert reporting to the EU Commission. She is also a Board Member of the European Women Lawyers Association and a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.

Roselyn has considerable experience in organising and presenting seminars and training events for HR practitioners and employers.

Dr. Matthew Brincat

As Director, Matthew is responsible for the overall co-ordination of the services of Opus. He also has the task of ensuring that the various services of the company are provided according to the required standards and that client's receive timely and user-friendly advice in relation to their workplace.

Matthew obtained the degree of the Doctor of Laws (LL.D.) from the University of Malta in November of 2001 and the degree of Master of Laws (LL.M) in Labour Law from the London School of Economics in December 2002. Matthew's legal practice mainly evolves around employment, OHS and immigration, areas of law he believes connects both the human and the corporate aspects of legislation.

He has also been heavily involved in the formation of the labour law department of Ganado & Associates, Advocates and has gained valuable experience of Industrial Tribunal proceedings. Matthew is a member of the Lex Mundi European Employment Practices Group. He is also Malta's representative on the board of governance of the European Employment Lawyers Association (EELA) and delivers lectures at on Employment Law at the the Malta Employers Association. Matthew has also written a number of articles and in local and foreign publications in relation to both employment and occupational health and safety legislation.

Dr. Andrew Borg-Cardona

Dr. Borg-Cardona was called to the Bar in 1980. He specialises in commercial and labour law, representing clients in negotiations, conciliation and arbitration proceedings, as well as advising on the impact of legislation on their operational structures. He is also concerned with financial services law, contract and company work, with connected litigation.

Dr. Borg-Cardona is a member of the MdR Fraud Network, a network co-ordinated by the London firm Mishcon de Reya enabling members to be of mutual assistance, particularly in the area of asset recovery and protection on a trans-national level. Dr. Borg Cardona lectures in Labour and Commercial Law in the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy, University of Malta.
